Thank you for your interest in the demonstration facility at Little Learners Lodge and Montessori of Mount Pleasant. Our school is intentionally small and designed to support families who are interested in the RIE and Montessori methods of early childhood education for their children. During the onboarding process we will share the many facets of our program which includes professional training, parent resource opportunities, and advocacy. Our goal is to partner with parents through Kindergarten graduation. Attending the Open House is the first step in cultivating that relationship
Intro to Educaring®
Join us for an in-person or online Intro to Educaring® class!

The Intro to Educaring® class will be scheduled following the Spring Open House. Attendance is required for families interested in enrolling within the center's infant program an included in the waitlist registration fee.
In this 3-hour introductory course, you’ll receive an overview of the Educaring® Approach, learning how this work encourages adult caregivers to see young children as competent and capable humans from birth. The Approach seeks to help parents and professionals build stable, secure, healthy relationships with infants and toddlers, encouraging the children’s natural abilities from the very start.

Thank you to everyone who joined us in celebrating fifty years of Little Learners Lodge and Montessori of Mount Pleasant. The presence of our founders, former and current teachers, families, graduates, and community partners was a powerful reminder that this school is more than a place—it is a living legacy.
​
For five decades, this little school has cast a large shadow, serving three generations of children while growing and evolving alongside the Mount Pleasant community. Little Learners Lodge and Montessori of Mount Pleasant has long been rooted in a passion for innovation in early childhood education, a deep respect for children and families, and a commitment to demonstrating best practices that strengthen the early childhood profession as a whole.

Our story is one of connection—between teachers and children, families and schools, and education and community. It is also a story of forward movement: learning, reflecting, and continually improving in service of young children and their families.
As we look toward the future, we do so with optimism and purpose. The lessons learned here will guide us as we explore opportunities to extend our impact beyond our local community, sharing what has been nurtured in Mount Pleasant on a broader, national scale.
