Nutrition & Permaculture Liasion, Photographer

Roman's connection to Montessori of Mount Pleasant comes full circle. As a graduate of the school himself, he experienced firsthand the nurturing environment and strong sense of community that make Little Learners Lodge so special. Returning as a member of the team has allowed him to combine his passions for food, creativity, and community while giving back to the place that helped shape his early years.

Before joining Little Learners Lodge, Roman gained valuable culinary experience working in commercial kitchens, including preparing in-flight catering and serving guests at the prestigious Masters Golf Tournament. He is Food Safety Certified and brings a commitment to preparing fresh, nutritious meals that introduce children to a wide variety of flavors and ingredients. Alongside his culinary background, Roman has completed college-level photography training and has over five years of professional photography experience, capturing meaningful moments that showcase the joy and growth of the children in our community.

What Roman loves most about Little Learners Lodge is the genuine care each educator has for every child and the intentionality behind even the smallest details of the school. He believes those thoughtful touches create an environment where children feel safe, supported, and excited to learn.

Looking toward the future, Roman is passionate about expanding the school's food program by incorporating more seasonal, locally sourced ingredients and produce from the school's gardens. He hopes to inspire children to become adventurous eaters by showing them that trying new foods can be exciting and enjoyable. He also dreams of documenting the school's journey through photography and storytelling, encouraging other schools to embrace local food systems and the meaningful connections they create within their communities.
